I really liked this short story! I liked how detailed it was and how you could imagine what was going on with Azucena and Rolf Carle. I also liked how the author slowly changed the story from being about Azucena and her being trapped to being about Rolf Carle letting his guard down and remembering his childhood. Even though this is a short story, we found out a lot of information about Rolf Carle's childhood and evenwhat he is like in his adulthood. The last thing I liked about this short story was how it was told in first person. Even though it wasn't in first person from Rolf Carle's perspective, I liked how it was from his wife (or partner).

The Story of an Hour
I liked this short story by Kate Chopin. She did a good job giving us a clear setting of spring time. I liked how the first sentence of the short story connected to the last sentence. The first sentence talked about her heart trouble and the last sentence she died of an heart attack. I think that Chopin did a good job of building a strong plot in three pages. Throughout the short story we found out that Mrs. Mallard was full of joy that her husband died because she wanted her independence. I really liked how how Chopin built up Mrs. Mallard being so happy because of her husbands death and then her husband actually being alive.
